“Alexa, turn my camera on”
The development team of the Chk-In Cam took care to give you the opportunity to control your Chk-In Cam cameras even more conveniently.
You just say to your Echo or Echo Dot "Alexa, turn on my camera," and it will be activated and ready to go in a matter of seconds.
Follow the instructions to easily get the voice control of your Chk-In Cam camera.
- Make sure your Chk-In Cam camera and Amazon Echo/Echo Dot are up and running.
- To pair Chk-In Cam with Amazon Echo/Echo Dot
Launch Alexa app on your mobile phone or table and then Navigate to Home > Skills and search for Chk-In Cam .
There are two types of Skills sets you can choose from.
1. Chk-In Cam - Smart Home Skills — Optimized for Smart Home skills only focuses on starting or shutdowning Your camera and is optimized for smart home control.
- If you have more than one Chk-In Cam cameras, you can enable “Chk-In Cam - Smart Home Skills ” -> sign in using your Chk-In Cam account -> make discovering
2. Chk-In Cam - Advanced Skills enables the user to launch Apps beyond the "Standard" Smart Home Skills which just turn ON and OFF.
- If you want to use “Chk-In Cam - Advanced Skills” enable it and sign in using your Chk-In Cam account

- Can I use both skills?
Yes, you can.
In the case of using "Chk-In Cam - Smart Home Skills" you can manage all the cameras that are available to your account. But in this skills you are limited to just turn the cameras on and off.
In the case of using the "Chk-In Cam - Advanced Skills" you can control only one of your cameras, but you will have access to all advanced management options.
- How can I change the name of my camera for a "Chk-In Cam - Smart Home Skills"?
You can do this in two ways:
1. Log in to chkincam.com using your account. Follow "Settings->General" and change Device name.
2. Launch the Chk-In Cam application, open the general settings and change the "Camera Title" field.
